Children’s self-esteem grows if they feel comfortable to talk about themselves, their interests and their home life. We therefore aim to build a bridge between home and pre-school by; encouraging children to bring in toys and objects for ‘show and tell’; challenging children to bring in objects that begin with the ‘letter of the week’; sending home the group animal bag and busy book for families to write, draw, add photos in to be shared with their key group.
